Red Tent “Women’s nourishment: food for body and soul” – June 9

Female 360° cycle, motherhood, fertility, menopause, Group Pathways

The food theme always pops up in every Red Tent. Whatever the topic discussed a small digression or question about the way we feed ourselves emerges naturally.

Suggested diets and possible eating styles are growing exponentially every day: but what I would like to explore with you is not which is “the best” rather : what are we really looking for in food? What does food represent to us? What kind of “nourishment” do we wish to receive and/or give ourselves?

Is it really only “the food” itself that gives us joy or guilt? the body we idealize or the relationships we dream about?

What if the way we feed ourselves speaks about us? Of who we are at this moment, what are our desires, strengths, and frailties?

What if the way we nurture ourselves spoke of our being a woman right now, our relationships, our passions, and our fears?

What if food could nourish at every level: body, mind, emotions?

What might be the other ingredients of the “ideal nutrition” for each of us? What is the magic combination to nourish body and soul?

We will chat about it together on Friday, June 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in a Red Tent dedicated to “Nourishing Women.”
